ABOUT IAN

I am an award-winning, highly creative and multi-talented Associate Art Director & Senior Graphic & Visual Designer with over 15+ years experience in environmental design, illustration, branding, multimedia, digital, marketing and print design. I have a B.S. degree in Design from UC Davis and a certificate in Marketing from UC Berkeley Extension.
The year 2020 has been like none other but I have had some design highlights. I was on the Facebook team designing Facebook GMS20 in March when it went from a physical event to a successful remote event. I also was one of two designers who drew all the graphics for Ally Bank's 8-bit online racing game. And lastly, I helped with the 2D graphics for a 3-day online event for the Air Force called "AMO" or "Advanced Manufacturing Olympics". Other Career highlights include lead designer for the NFL Super Bowl 36, 37, 38 and 44. I was also the lead designer for the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers field graphics and branding. I designed the stadium graphics for the Leicester City Foxes soccer team in England and the office graphics for the PAC-12 Networks in San Francisco, CA.
Most recently I have been contracting for Jack Morton and MKTG. I have been invited back by both agencies. 2020 through us all for a loop so most of my projects have been digital. I helped with the 2D graphics for an Air Force (online) events and helping illustrate the backgrounds and racing tracks for an Ally online racing game.
I have worked as an in-house designer for Chevron for over a decade producing everything from technical graphics to print posters to Powerpoint presentations. In this role I worked with internal and external clients, and print vendors. I designed newsletters, Powerpoint slides illustrating tables and technical datas.
I am highly skilled in client and vendor relations and negotiations and talented at building and maintaining “win-win” partnerships. Strong reputation for being a passionate and inventive creator of innovative marketing strategies and campaigns. I am accustomed to performing in deadline-driven environments with an emphasis on working within budget requirements. Lead designer on many large projects.
Most recently I was the creative-force behind the 2017 NHL Bridgestone Winter Classic and the 2017 NHL Coors Light Stadium Series outdoor games. I have been also designing digital and print advertising for Doubletree Berkeley and Birmingham, Alabama.
I have contracted with high-profile marketing firms; Jack Morton Worldwide and George P. Johnson Experience Marketing, MKTG Creative in San Francisco. I worked with a team to deliver all digital, print and environmental design assets for conferences, trade shows and corporate events.
